Very pleased with the Washtower. Cleans very well. Clothes come out of dryer dry and soft. Very quiet. Directions on choosing right temp setting a little challenging at first but no mishaps yet. There are online videos which can be helpful. Very happy with our LG air conditioners and glad this purchase was also a good one. The unit is beautiful too

I bought this wash tower 2 months ago and glad we did. The unit out performs all other wash tower competitors. The unit fits perfectly in a standard closet application. The unit is easily maintained and a quick wipe down of the washer door after a wash keeps the unit fresh.

Sooooo Quiet

We bought the washtower a month ago and are so pleased with how quiet it is. Our laundry closet is in the middle of our one-story home and we never even know either the washer or dryer are running even on the wash spin cycle Being 53 I also very much appreciate that the controls for both washer and dryer are in the middle between the two units. Our previous stacked pair had the dryers controls at the top where I could neither reach nor see them I found the icons and controls required a little bit of a learning curve but Ive got it down now. I do think some of the set cycles are too limited. For instance if you choose the Bedding wash cycle you cannot select the highest spin. And if you set a damp dry cycle so you can remove SOME of the items while damp if you then set the temp to a drier cycle for the remaining items the dryer seems to be confused and doesnt get the remaining items fully dry. Im sure Ill find a combination that works for this situation but its a bit frustrating for now. Overall though the units clean and dry beautifully. My husbands shirts all come out without any ironing needed even when mixed with items of different weights. I would recommend this unit.

A Perfect Replacement

I bought this 2 weeks ago and I am thrilled with the set. The tower will allow me to have room enough to put in a utility sink next to them which will make my life so much simpler. I have already used them 8 times and they are large enough for our full loads. I am only 5 ft. 1 so the controls are at a perfect level and it is easy to load and unload both the washer and drier. The installation was flawless and in about 15 minutes I was ready to start a load. I am very excited about this purchase and would highly recommend this unit.

I bought my wash tower when I first started the reconstruction of my home. It fit perfectly into my laundry room and I had heard great reports about LG. My daughters encouraged my purchase and when I started using it I was just as pleased with all of its many functions. When I gifted my daughter and son-in-law with a new pantry our first purchase was a LG wash tower for it. She had fallen in love with mine. Now her husband and son who do their own laundry love the wash tower as much as we do. It is easy to load. Set for the fnstion wanted and quickly completes its task.. Amazing washer/dryer combo

This is the best washer/dryer combo Ive ever owned. Unlike separate units that are stacked this is a single unit with shared control logic. The dryer knows what you just washed so it adjusts automatically to dry the load. And it uses so little detergent and water but gets everything really clean. So its good for the environment and for your energy budget.

Fit my existing Landry space. It is not quite and there are lots of water remaining inside the washer after used. I drain it and open the door for hours to prevent mold. One control panel for both washer and dryer means when one broke both needs to be replaced.

FINALLY GETTING TO CHECK OUT WASH TOWER

We bought our LG wash tower when we started our remodel in the fall of 2022 and just got it installed in May of 2023 so we have been waiting a while to put it through its paces. We like it a lot and it washes and dries as well as we had imagined it would. Looks great performs great. We will see how it does in the long run and how LG responds if there are any problems. Would recommend this product at this point.

Ive purchased two of these units and despite following all of the care instructions checkin vents ensuring the proper diameter of the ducts ensuring the proper number of bends based on the duct length etc. this things still dont dry properly. Good luck with LGs customer service. They dont help and basically want you to be a technician. Stay away at all costs Im selling the units and buying an entirely different brand.

Major Disappointment

We had great hope for the LG Gas Washtower. The washer does a nice job but the dryer has been terrible. The dryer doesnt dry. Weve called their customer service about 8 times. We are waiting for them to come out to service it. Ive been hanging clothes on hangers in a closet to dry. Very frustrating experience. WE NEED HELP

I purchased an LG washer/dryer on the 4 January 2023. The appliance was delivered and installed in my place on the same day by the seller. I reviewed the user manual of the washer/dryer before starting to use it to familiarize my self with its features. And have been using it since then. The LG washer/dryer performed very well in comparison to my old washer/dryer. The new appliance has very nice features including the ability to connect to the WI-FI and remotely communicate with it to perform certain actions. So far I am pleased with it and satisfied with the purchase. Once I have further development I will update this review.

When I moved into my downsized house there was a 25 year old stacked washer/dryer unit that was unusable. This LG was on sale and I am delighted with it. It fit perfectly into the laundry closet and as I had already owned LG washer and separate dryer at my old house it was easy to use. I still havent quite figured out the wifi but I dont really need it.

Had problems less than 3 months after it arrived

Ive owned 6 LG machines at multiple properties over the last 5 years. We just installed the new slim line full size stackables and the heater went out in the dryer and spin cycle stopped on washing machine within a few months of owning it. I have multiple other LG products and they have literally been problem free. I also have on order ordered 2 more of the same machine for another project. I sincerely hope this is not a lemon or that if it was stuck on a boat in port that the salt air affected the electronics or that a lack of quality chips were the cause. Either way Im concerned and not happy to have had this issue. The service company wouldnt ship the replacement part to another address or to the store I purchased it from since the property is currently unoccupied. Ether way not happy and the lemon law requires 5 problems before replacing it.

Issues 2 months after installation

This model has known sensor issues which will render the dryer ineffective. LG warranty says its not their problem. Ive already had the vents cleaned etc so clearly its the dryer itself but LG wont help. Its only been installed for a couple months.

Good washing and drying several small issues

I wish the solenoids for water flow were a little more dampened theyre very abrupt and cause some water hammer effect. Also it was bit a of bear to get delivered/installed--by LGs delivery people They pretended not to know how to unstack the unit and it took a cash bribe to get them to do the considerable work to get it installed in my condo. Final issue is the app/notifications are sometimes kinda stupid. Every 30-40 cycles it asks me if my hoses are hooked up properly for example. Otherwise it does a great job

Efficient fast and finally a win for us shorties

I replaced a 12 year old stacked Frigidaire unit with this wash tower and have no regrets. I chose this unit because it had the shortest depth and largest capacity for my small closet alcove. But the feature that really sold me was the fact I could now comfortably reach all the controls without getting on tip toes I also didnt think I would care much about the smart features but I like getting reminders on my watch when a load is done. Ive owned 3 front load stacked units and I always feel like Im making a compromise because I need to have space saving features at the expense of smaller capacity and the very likely a chance of getting the musty smell problem typical of many front load washers. This LG wash tower doesnt make me feel like Ive compromised. Ive had the unit for 15 months and it works great and I dont have any musty smells. As long as you let the wash tub air out after a load and periodically remove the dispenser to dry it out this unit and most later model front loads should serve you well. I have a stacked Maytag unit in my back guest house that is about 4 years old and even though it has a slightly larger capacity I think it takes longer to complete a load compared to this LG. Overall Im very happy with the LG unit and if it can go at least 2-3 years without me calling a repair genie I am likely to purchase again. My old Frigidaire stacked unit always had to be repaired so I hope this LG can stand up over time. For a house we will be remodeling soon I was originally designing for a laundry room to fit a traditional side by side set. But after having this LG wash tower now Im hoping to install two of these tower units side by side instead so we can double the laundry capacity in the new house. Thank you LG for designing a great product for us shorter people

I needed a stackable to go into a very tight space for my relocated laundry. This unit was perfect. Its the only stackable I could find that has center controls which was very important to me since I am only 52 tall and reaching above a dryer to access controls was too difficult and dangerous if Inhad to use a step stool. I also love the many cycle options and it even handles my heaviest bedding without shaking. Its cleaning and drying everything perfectly. And I love that both the dryer and washer have a nice sounding chime to alert me when its done. My old laundry had an angry buzz sound Its the little things

Had high hopes

After reading all the reviews I had high hopes that this washer/dryer would do an adequate job but it seems like that isnt the case. As others mentioned the controls take a bit to get used to but after using it for a couple of weeks my view is that its not too flexible when it comes to customizing the wash/dry cycles. Im hoping that its just me not knowing how to use it but I dont think thats the case. For my washes and drying I usually dont use the default settings since its either not at the temperature I need or the length of time I need the cycle to last. With my old washers I can easily change the settings manually but with this unit I have to go through a somewhat extended process to achieve what I want. There really should be a way to save my choices as a custom setting so that I dont have to do it every time but it seems like there isnt. Another thing thats disappointing is that I dont think its washing the clothes clean. I even used they heavy soil setting but it didnt help. My kid is in basketball and lately the clothes have been soaked with sweat. I used to not wash it right away and as you can imagine the smell of the clothes was awful. I had to presoak the clothes to get rid of the smell. This time I decided to wash it right away. Knowing that the sweat drenched the clothes I added Lysol pretreatment to the wash and set the soil level to heavy. When the wash was completed to over two hours I started emptying the clothes into the dryer but noticed that there was still some lingering scent is sweat. This leads me to think that the unit isnt doing a good job with the wash. As for the drying similar to the wash theres not custom setting to save my choices. Whats even worst is that I cant seem to find a way to manually set the unit to dry my clothes for longer than 60 minutes. If I known how restricting this set was I might have not purchased it. Im hoping that LG can update their software to this unit so that itll allow more customization. I doubt it but I can hope right?

A solid combo unit

The family has used this unit a few times throughout the past few weeks and we love it so far. The spin wash cycles are quick and the dryer gets the job done with the specified settings. Coming from another brand the LG washer/dryer combo is much more efficient at getting the job done in a smaller form factor. The only reason for giving the combo unit a 4/5 star rating is the WiFi setup and app are a little clunky to use for multiple users and it would be nice to have more customization for phone push notifications. The WiFi options are also a bit limited but most of the time someone is at home anyway to check up on the unit. Another ding for the score is the dryer gasket tends to attract a lot of lint so after every use the lint collection net the gasket and the floor of the unit needs to be cleaned up a bit before putting the next load in.
